This 1966 Volkswagen Bus is far from your average bus. This bus has had the top chopped off for open use in parades and other festivities. The removal of the top as well as a full restoration of the exterior and interior was reportedly done in the 90’s by Classic Volkswagen Restorations out of Santa Fe Springs, California. The current owner has noted that the car has been garage kept since he purchased the vehicle around 2005 and has only used the vehicle on parades, taking the kids to baseball games, and other local special events. The seller doesn’t know exactly what mechanical work has been done to the vehicle prior to his ownership, but the bus starts right up on the first try and runs and drives smoothly. The odometer is no longer working and currently reads 99,999 miles but the true mileage is unknown. Wood trim lines the area’s where the top was previously mounted and dual structural beams have been added to the front of the bus. The soft-top (pictured) is removable and snaps on and off with buttons. There is a large dent below the passenger side taillight and a few chips in the paint (pictured) but overall the car is in good condition. If you are looking for a very unique VW bus you can take to special events or jam down to the beach in, look no further! As the seller says “drive it like it is or take it to the next level”. Curious about the structural supports. I do not see the rear supports and how they were fabricated? With your stated limited driving, this could be, make or break for me to bid. If you would please take some photos for all (front/rear) interior and exterior support fabrications, it would be greatly appreciated, and hope to then send ya a bid. Thanks

This is something different. I had a 23 window bus and sold it way too early. Very fun with the top all open but this takes it to a new level. GLWTA
