The second generation Mustang became a instant classic with its clean lines and the ability to grow in engine size. This 68 was bought when the owner was in high school and he has owned it all of its life. It was originally a 289 car and later in life the transformation began to make it a real performance car installing a professionally built 393 stroker (based on a 351W) by Dalton Brothers Racing that resulted in 438 HP/465 lb torque and a 5 speed tranny. Other performance mods included ceramic coated headers to a custom flowmaster exhaust with GT tips, Howe aluminum radiator, 4 wheel disc brakes, relocated upper control arms, subframe connectors and 16×8 Magnum 500 wheels.
The car has also seen a glass out high quality repaint that looks great and presents well. The interior is mostly original and also shows very well. Overall, this is a very nice driver condition 68 that does not need anything, looks good, drives good, sounds good and has a high level of performance mods to keep up with some of the modern performance cars. The car has never been in an accident, there is no rust and the frame is straight as a arrow. This is a very nice example with a good blend of stock appearance and “muscle” car fun. Comes with lots of extra parts and the original CA black plates.
A start up, walk around, and driving videos are below.

Car is sold. Thx for everyone’s comments and bidding.
Hi, wondering if you are able to show the 68 mustang tonight?
Gtracer, yes, but we have a very serious buyer looking. Call me to discuss 213-712-6980
Seller, I am assuming the car is still available? Very interested but would like to ask a couple of questions before I hit BIN.
The Seller has reduced the BIN and wants to make a deal. This is a great driver that has lots of originality but still has the go fast parts on it.
The car is available for viewing in Manhattan Beach CA.
Where is the car if I want to check it out?
Per the Seller this car has never been in an accident and never any rust. Older re-paint but still looks good.
Seller, has this ever been in an accident?
I love these older Mustangs. Wish it was a fastback and I would be bidding for sure.
Might have to bid on this one. Looks like a fun driver.
