This is my 1972 Mercedes 280SEL 4.5 (floor shift) finished in Autumn Beige over a cognac leather interior. These old 280SE/SEL’s are some of the best looking Mercedes models ever built in my opinion. The double stacked front headlights, the curvaceous shape, and the tiny rear taillights all add up to create a truly stunning vehicle. Under my ownership I have had seemingly endless things done to this vehicle to make it run and drive like it did when it rolled off the showroom in 1972 (listed below). I have all the documentation for the parts/ services done to this vehicle under my ownership. The previous owner had the car re-painted, re-upholstered interior, brakes rebuilt, new shocks, and put an aftermarket radio/stereo system in it.

-I replaced many mechanical things on this SEL and I purchased all of the parts from the Classic Mercedes Service Center in Irvine, CA. ALL OEM PARTS USED to bring this car back to its former glory.

-All of the mechanical work I had done under my ownership was done at “Mikes Foreign Car Services” in Redondo Beach, CA.

Here is a list of everything I replaced/ had fixed on this SEL:

-New timing belt

-New timing chain

-New Spark plugs

-New Battery

-Re-coiled radiator

-Engine tune-up

-Flush/ replacement of engine oil and power steering fluid

-New coil springs for all 4 corners

-New rubber pads for the coils

-New tie rod assembly on both sides
