The Bricklin SV-1 is a car that was designed to offer unparalleled safety whilst maintaining a beautiful look. Many car companies complained about safety regulations ruining their styling but Bricklin was determined to integrate safety into their design. As a result the SV-1 or “Safety Vehicle-1” was born. The most prominent safety design is the front bumper that can absorb impacts up to 10 MPH without any damage being obtained from said impact. Another interesting feature is the fact that these cars are not painted, but rather the acrylic panels are a solid color so scratches can be sanded out. The SV-1 is powered by a Ford 351ci Windsor V8 paired to an automatic 3-speed transmission. This unique example is mechanically sorted and received a Pneumatic door system upgrade. A great car to take to your local car show and is guaranteed to turn heads.

Not sure about these but they are different and something you never see at the shows. Might be a fun project car to fully restore and have something that no one else has.

These were interesting in their day. Not sure where they fit into the overall collector market but still something different that you will not see everyday. There is a collector in So Cal that has a few of these and occasionally I see one at C&C.

Mustang05

It has a Ford engine so………….

These are very unusual cars and seldom seen on the street. Cool that 2 are for sale on this site. Not a buyer but interesting. GLWTA
