The Mondial was, at the time, one of Ferrari’s most commercially successful models, with over 6,000 examples produced over its thirteen-year run. The Mondial underwent many updates throughout its production with four distinct variants produced that started with the Mondial 8 coupé launched in 1980, the vehicle which served as the sole V8-engined Grand Touring or “GT” vehicle within the Ferrari range. This example has been part of a predominant Orange County collection for over 10 years.
This matching numbers car has been meticulously maintained, driven primarily to cars and coffee events. The car was treated to an interior retrim with new leather seats in original navy blue, which included stitched Cavallino headrests. The car was fitted with chrome Ferrari 360 rims and wears its original blue paint. This classic Enzo era Mondial has had a recent service including replacement of all fluids, new plugs, timing, new battery, oil change, radiator flush, and tire/brake inspection.
The car has a clean California title with no history of damage. The exterior is in very good condition, with 2 small surface rust spots as seen in the photos. This Pininfarina designed Mondial 8 is one of only 703 examples built with Ferrari’s most reliable engine, the 308, a 3 liter 8 cylinder producing 214 BHP. The 5-speed manual gearbox shifts through its classic “gated shifter” cleanly with no synchro grinding. This is an excellent daily driver that is one of Ferrari’s most economical drivetrains to maintain.

$19,500 bid placed by Gdspd
Can’t believe someone has not snagged this up. Very cool car.
These are finally coming to their own and people are realizing the value.
C-ya, you summed up why these are no becoming desirable collectibles.
Bidding on the 308 GT4 and hoping to get both. These are really some of the best entry Ferrari’s you can buy. The design was different but if you really study the lines they are beautiful cars. Don’t forget that Bertone also designed the Lambo Muira and the Countach and the Lancia’s Startos.
Not a buyer for this but great looking car. GLWTA
One of my friends had the same car in HS, color and all, and we drove the hell out of it. It was a fun time cruising around Westwood with the windows down, stereo blasting and revving up the engine!!!!
Hard to believe you can by a Ferrari for this kind of money. Looks like a very clean example.
The 308 and this Mondial are very reliable Ferrari’s that can be driven and enjoyed.
E9bmr, I agree with you, lots of fun cars here.
Never thought much of these but they are growing on me. Nice to see a few “entry” level Ferrari’s on the site. GLWTA
Another reasonable Ferrari for sale. I am bidding on the Hellcat but might have to have both!!
Bidding on the 308 Dino but love the color combo on this one. Even the wheels look good with this design. GLWA
Love this color combo and very nice looking example. Seller, does the original wheels come with it?
Have not been a fan of Mondial’s but I love this color combo. You don’t see this color very often. Cool looking car and a very economical Ferrari to own. GLWTA
