The E30 M3 became the most successful touring car ever produced. The BMW E30 M3 is an iconic, beautiful, and legendary machine that is considered one of the most engaging street and/or race cars ever produced. Although they were only an inline 4 cylinder, the iconic S14 2.3 liter motor, the almost perfect weight distribution, and handling made this car into a fun and engaging car. It was definitely not a street light racer with only 190 HP but when you were on a twisting road or a track, it truly came alive. It came from the factory with M3-specific bodywork including widened fenders, special bumper covers, a taller trunk lid with a spoiler, and distinct C-pillars that were different than a standard E30.
This E30 started life as a normal street car in Texas and in 1999 made its way West to CA where it began life as a street/track car. During the next 5 years the car made the transition from a street car to a dedicated track car and the interior was stripped, lightened and a full race cage designed to BMW CCA standards was installed. The suspension was changed to a Turner race set up and the brakes were changed to a light weight TBM custom set up. Throughout its race career this car was a top runner and had many podium finishes in both BMW/NASA and in 2016 was the GTS national champion car.
Fast forward to today and the car has been sitting for a couple of years and a mildly built 2.3 motor is currently sitting in the engine bay. A Redline standalone engine management system is installed with a carbon fiber intake. Evo II front fenders are installed, Evo carbon rear wing, Evo fiberglass front fender with splitter, fiberglass hood, lexan windows which all make this about a 2400 lb car.
We are in the process of getting the car up and running and it will be done soon. Lots of parts including a 2nd E30 M3 parts car, BBS wheels, and many other spares for racing.
