This 1966 Chevrolet Nova is a refurbished and highly modified example completed in the early 2000’s that was designed to run in the 9’s at the quarter mile. The car is finished in a Ruby Metallic paint job with flames covering the front of the car and the interior is finished in grey with Recaro pro-racer seats and an NHRA-certified 10-point steel roll cage. This Nova is an NHRA-certified car that has been constantly upgraded throughout the years. Power is derived from the supercharged 6.2L crate V8 putting out 766hp (Dyno tested) mated to a 4L85E 4-Speed automatic transmission. The seller has noted that the engine was built by Texas Motorsports and can easily be tuned to make well over 900hp but has it currently de-tuned to make it more streetable. Modifications made to this Nova include ProCharger D1SC supercharger, CSU blow-through 870cm carburetor, MSD 6014 ignition box, Isky hydraulic roller cam, 3.73 Ford 9” rear end, Chris Alston suspension throughout, power steering, vintage air conditioning, Weld drag wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, Mickey Thompson tires with an extra set of Mickey Thompson full slicks, Kenwood stereo, and custom stainless steel headers. This Nova currently has 7,700 miles since the restoration but only 2,000 miles on the engine. This Nova is a serious build designed to set some serious times at the drag strip.
